Coljuegos intensifies actions to block illegal websites of the 1Win, 1XBET and Pinnacle brands

“We are fighting head-on against these brands that insist on offering bets illegally. In addition to the websites that we have already blocked, we have a list that includes more domains related to these companies, which will be blocked soon,” said Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos.

Thus, in total 141 websites associated with the 1Win brand, 242 of 1XBET, 19 of BBRBET and 3 of Pinnacle have been eliminated. This was possible through the joint work between Coljuegos, the Ministry of ICT and the National Police.

“We want to tell players that by betting on sites associated with these brands they could lose their deposits, since these platforms will be blocked,” Hincapié said.

He added: “In addition, opening accounts on these illegal platforms could represent a risk to the security of bettors, since personal information could be used to commit cyber crimes such as harassment or fraud.”

Likewise, the president of Coljuegos insisted that the entity is also tracking social media profiles and websites that are dedicated to promoting bets on illegal portals.

Last year we managed to block 10,000 websites. We know that cyber criminals look for strategies to remain on the web, and that is why this year we will increase our efforts to continue blocking pages that commit the crime of offering illegal bets,” concluded Hincapié.
